Day-O
Is it not the most beautiful Friday? Spring in the California Mother Lode is breathtaking. Myriad hues of shimmering greens are repeated everywhere; hillsides, lawns, trees, foliage and neighborhood shrubbery. Clear white light is splashed across the landscape creating a magical mirage of backlit lighting. On leaves, behind limbs, swaying bushes moving with the soft morning breeze. Sunshine, blue skies, temps hovering in the mid-60's, love it!
In the background of all of this is a loud indistinguishable humming, familiar and comforting; tree cutters are out, trimming back oak branches, etcetera along our streets.
Jeff & his mom have been out and about this morning on errands. He called not too long ago and is bringing home burgers, fries, a chocolate shake for me and a malted for him from the Patio, our local drive-in diner.
Which is perfect as I am absolutely ravenous.
Rewind a moment. So after waking at 2:30 this morning, it seems to have become my witching hour, of late. I watched Morning Joe, then Jeff joined me for coffee and conversation around 4:30 AM watched Scandal on our DVR.
Jeff spent the rest of the AM (before dashing out) working on animating his cartooning- pretty cool, really. Then he and his mom tooled over to the jewlery shop, where my wedding bands were cleaned, a small diamond replaced in one of my other rings and a website I can choose the design of a mother's ring and (separately) a grandmother's ring and then tell my jewler and voila, 2 new rings. i've always wanted these types and figure why wait any longer?
Jeff then dropped his mom off at her house after going in and catching up with his brother Joe, who was on his lunch hour. Jeff completed his errands with a stop at CVS, then the market, lunch and hom
I am now happily stuffed. The Patio has the best burgers. Thickly sliced vidala onions, tomatoes... yummy. Great fries and I am still chuging along on my chocolate shake.
Time for an afternoon siesta.
